Edge banding

Although most of our products are made from solid wood, we also manufacture edge-banded panel components. We operate a machine for curved components and a high-performance line for straight elements. The straight-edge line is equipped with a full set of units, including pre-milling, end trimming and edge finishing. We process synthetic and natural edging and bond solid-wood lippings up to 12 mm thick.

Edge banding for serial production

We provide serial edge banding for chipboard, MDF and HDF components for furniture manufacturers and OEM customers. The process is selected according to component geometry, edging material and the required joint strength.

Production scope:

  • straight-component edge banding on high-performance lines,
  • edge banding of curved components and open profiles,
  • ABS, PVC and natural edging, plus solid-wood lippings up to 12 mm,
  • PUR and EVA adhesives, pre-milling and final edge finishing.

We handle repeatable B2B runs, from sample implementation to batches of several thousand components. Edge banding can be combined with cutting, six-sided drilling, milling, quality control, assembly and packing.

Frequently asked questions

Which panel materials can you edge-band?

We provide serial edge banding for raw and melamine-faced chipboard, MDF, HDF and other panel materials after confirming process suitability.

Which edging materials do you use?

We use ABS, PVC, paper, melamine and natural wood veneer edging, typically from 0.4 to 2 mm thick. On a dedicated machine, we also bond solid-wood lippings up to 12 mm thick. The service is intended for serial B2B production.

Do you edge-band curved and shaped components?

Yes. In addition to straight edges, we edge-band curved components and open profiles. Feasibility is confirmed from the drawing, radii and component cross-section.

Can any required combination of edges be banded?

Yes. One, two, three or all edges can be banded, depending on the component design and the operation sequence defined in the documentation.

What is the minimum run for edge-banding-only orders?

For a repeatable component type, the usual starting point is approximately 300 pieces. The final minimum depends on changeovers, edging type, geometry and material.

Can edge banding be combined with other operations?

Yes. It can be combined with cutting, drilling, milling, grooving, quality control, assembly and packing so the customer receives a finished component or kit.

How do you control edge-banding quality?

We verify dimensional and visual compliance with the documentation, including edging selection, joint appearance, corner finishing and batch repeatability. Acceptance criteria are agreed before the run starts.
